Assistant Restaurant Manager

Spinnaker’s at YYJ is looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced airport environment.

 

This role oversees Front of House with a strong focus on team leadership, guest experience, food quality, and operational execution. If you thrive in high-volume environments and enjoy balancing people leadership with hands-on operations support, we’d love to connect with you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support daily Front of House and Kitchen operations
  • Lead shifts and help drive an exceptional guest experience
  • Coach, develop, and motivate restaurant teams
  • Maintain food safety, operational, and brand standards
  • Support labor, inventory, and cost control initiatives
  • Assist with scheduling, forecasting, and administrative tasks
  • Help maintain merchandising, displays, and restaurant presentation
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and support peak business flow

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant or food service leadership experience
  • Full-service dining and bar experience strongly preferred
  • Experience overseeing both FOH and BOH operations preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is an asset

This position is located in a secure airport environment and a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is required. All candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada and must be able to provide the necessary government-issued documentation required for airport security clearance.
