Sustainability Manager, Asia Pacific

About the Role

The Sustainability Manager, APAC is responsible for driving the delivery of SSP’s sustainability priorities across the APAC region, translating Group commitments into clear regional plans, market actions and measurable outcomes.

The role will lead APAC sustainability performance and reporting, project-manage applicable climate and sustainability reporting programmes, and deliver strategic sustainability projects across the region. Working across multiple markets and functions, the role will provide the coordination, challenge and support required to turn sustainability commitments into effective business delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

APAC Sustainability Planning & Performance

  • Drive APAC sustainability plans and track performance against key KPIs and targets.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives across markets.
  • Lead regional sustainability projects covering carbon reduction, responsible sourcing, packaging, waste, and community impact.

Sustainability Reporting & Governance

  • Lead APAC sustainability and GHG reporting processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, governance, and reporting compliance.
  • Analyse sustainability performance trends and support reporting improvements.

Climate & Regulatory Programmes

  • Support climate reporting and ESG compliance initiatives across APAC.
  • Monitor emerging sustainability regulations and assess business impacts.
  • Coordinate readiness activities and stakeholder actions where required.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with APAC markets, regional leadership, and Group Sustainability.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Commercial, People, and Legal teams.
  • Provide guidance, training, and best practice sharing to build sustainability capability

Person Specification:

  • Relevant degree and sustainability/ESG experience.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in sustainability reporting and data governance.
  • Knowledge of climate reporting and ESG regulations is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication and influencing capabilities.
