Role Summary

To lead and motivate a team of unit managers in achieving specific objectives relating to sales, marketing, labour, customer service and overall business profitability whilst promoting and protecting the brand in Singapore. 

Main Responsibilities 

Leadership 

• Manage and lead unit managers through ongoing leadership, providing clear direction on a daily/weekly basis.

• Provide leadership and development to all unit managers, developing clear development plans for each unit with regular reviews with the MD.

• Actively promote a culture which supports ethical practices, encourages individual integrity and represents brand values.

• Leads by example, continually working in each unit to demonstrate what is required. 

• Create an environment which maintains a positive industry reputation in the attracting, retaining and motivating employees.

People Development & Management

• Ensure a comprehensive development plan is in place to effectively meet the needs for ongoing operating levels.

• Full responsibility for ensuring each unit always has a full staff level, whilst minimizing employee turnover. 

• Work closely with People Team on hiring and onboarding key critical positions.

• Work collaboratively with the People Team on performance and discipline management.

• Provide regular performance appraisals and feedback to staff, including annual performance reviews.

Profit & Loss

• Full accountability for each unit’s profit and loss results, including Cost of Goods (Ensuring accurate inventory control, i.e. stock takes in each location), Cost of Labour and OPEX.

• Provides guidance to the unit managers in developing and implementing sales growth initiatives.

• Ensure all profit opportunities are regularly identified, quantified and responded to.

• Ensuring units adhere to weekly, monthly and quarterly budget targets. Operational Excellence 

• Responsible for each brands standards relating to operations manuals on a day-to-day basis.

• Ensure alignment is maintained with internal SSP policy and procedures and all local and national laws. 

• Drive, monitor and respond to audits delivering full compliance, risk management and overall ensure that best practice within operations is fully delivered. New Store Opening (when required)

• Lead the coordination of deliveries and installations according to site specific instructions and restrictions.

• Oversee the training conducted by other Store Opening team (brand) members during the store opening process.

• Primarily responsible for overseeing the Operations Managements ability to provide in store development and training of the staff; and managers as required

• Training for team members conducted using brand resources, including operational manuals and additional materials supplied for store openings to ensure alignment.

Workplace Health & Safety

• Responsible for the oversight of the unit managers with regards to all WH&S requirements including incident reporting, conducting risk assessments.

• All units managed in a safe manner to prevent injuries or unsafe work practices. 

• Maintain current knowledge of WH&S policies, procedures and best practice.

• Promote a safe and enjoyable workplace for all customers and staff.

• Ensure employees are trained in all WH&S policies and procedures
