Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to Housekeeping and Quality Assurance Standards, when cleaning showers & toilets.
  2. Responsible to meet the guest request in a responsive and courteous manner and be of assistance to other associates.
  3. To genuinely care for the guest well-being and take pride and ownership in the assigned job.
  4. Abides by the key handling procedures and ensures that all room doors are secured, follow procedure when entering the washrooms.
  5. Abides by the lost and found procedures found around the Public Areas.
  6. Adheres to the OSHA chemical safety handling procedures and Hygiene & Sanitation.
  7. Safeguard and protect hotel property and be cost conscious.
  8. To tour and inspect the area assigned and carry out work on areas that required immediate action
  9. To handover at the end of the shift or at the next briefing, tasks completed and tasks still outstanding.
  10. To vacuum the public areas
  11. To handle the project / thorough cleaning of:
  • carpets, using different carpet cleaning techniques
  • the upholstery and the drapery
  • the hard flooring using the scrubbing machine
  • marble / granite restoration
  • Glass cleaning & Mirror cleaning
