Kitchen Manager at Sarasota Airport

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

 

Duties:

 

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for kitchen operations while adhering to cost control measures.
  • Train, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure optimal performance and teamwork.
  • Oversee food handling practices to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate catering services as needed, ensuring customer satisfaction with menu offerings.
  • Utilize POS systems for tracking sales and managing orders efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to enhance the overall dining experience.

 

Experience:

 

  • Proven experience in a kitchen management role or as an Assistant Manager in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting practices and inventory control methods.
  • Familiarity with coffee preparation and service is a plus.
  • Background in hospitality management or catering is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Understanding of food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
