People Development & Experience Manager, Asia Pacific
About the Role
Role: People Development & Experience Manager – Asia Pacific (Open to being stationed in Hong Kong or Malaysia)
Main responsibilities:
Learning & Development
- Review and enhance APAC Orientation and Induction programs based on adoption and feedback.
- Identify training needs and design tailored solutions for leaders, support functions, restaurant managers, and operations teams.
- Oversee SSP Academy (online learning), ensuring engaging materials and continuous evaluation.
- Deliver group‑wide L&D initiatives with effective stakeholder engagement and timely adaptation for APAC.
- Monitor and report on L&D effectiveness, providing actionable recommendations.
People Experience
- Lead the APAC Good to Great Plan to strengthen colleague engagement and overall experience.
- Manage colleague listening activities (surveys, forums) from planning to action.
- Drive wellness, social, cultural, and festive campaigns to foster inclusivity.
- Ensure seamless execution of people experience initiatives across the colleague lifecycle.
Culture & Change
- Partner with Group to embed high‑performance culture, values, and leadership behaviours.
- Promote the SSP Talent brand to attract and retain top talent.
- Lead change management training and toolkit implementation across APAC.
- Act as a change champion, advising on major organisational transitions (e.g., system roll‑outs, restructuring).
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development Management, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or any related disciplines
- Proven experience in driving Learning & Development and Colleague Engagement initiatives in the F&B, hospitality, retail or service-oriented industries
- Proven track record of formulating L&D strategies and establishing L&D curriculum for both frontline and management colleagues is required
- Experience in F&B operations management roles is desirable
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment and at a regional level is highly preferred
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English, fluency in another Asian language is highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong relationships across diverse teams
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-through on issues and commitment
- Good command of software such as MS Office suite, experience in using e-learning software (e.g. Articulate) is an advantage
- Proactive, self-driven, resourceful, with excellent learning agility
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Takes responsibility for all actions and accountability for the results achieved

- Travels within the region will be required
