Job Description

  • $18.57 / hour

  • Overnight shift premium $1.50/ hour

SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants inside the Ottawa International Airport, including: Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Bridgehead Coffee, Darcy McGees, Big Rig, Canal Market.

 

Responsibilities as a Baker with SSP Canada:

 

  • Prepare, bake and decorate donuts, muffins, croissants, cookies, bread and other pastries according to company standards
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly and with all safety regulations in mind, including labelling and storage of all ingredients during preparation and service.
  • Consistently exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
  • Check to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
  • Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.

Skills & Other Requirements:

 

  • One year experience working in food service environment is essential.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to follow recipes
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality of products
  • Verbal and written communication is essential. Able to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
  • Ability to obtain Transport Canada security clearance.
