Here are a few things you can expect as a Utility at SSP Canada:
 

This Person is responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring the availability of supplies, and maintaining stock organization in the restaurant. This role involves monitoring stock levels, receiving and storing deliveries, and assisting in inventory audits.

  • Receiving Deliveries: Inspect and verify incoming shipments for quality and accuracy; document discrepancies.
  • Stock Organization: Organize and store stock in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
  • Waste Reduction: Monitor stock for expiration dates and minimize waste through proper storage and rotation practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and service staff to forecast needs and ensure timely restocking.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food storage and handling.

    Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
    Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Capable of performing tasks in varying temperatures, including cold storage areas.
  • This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring the restaurant runs
