As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for creating, designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and datasets using multiple data sources, enabling stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Report Development & Maintenance
- Create new Power BI reports and dashboards and enhance the existing suite to meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure reports are accurate, intuitive, and aligned with finance and wider business requirements.
Data Integration
- Integrate data from multiple sources to deliver comprehensive and insightful reporting solutions.
Data Platforms & Support
- Support the creation and ongoing management of Datamarts and Lakehouses, ensuring the finance team and other users have access to reliable data for analysis and reporting.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the finance team and key stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data analysts to ensure seamless data integration, strong data quality, and efficient data pipelines.
Performance Optimisation
- Optimise the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure fast and efficient data retrieval.
Documentation
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation covering report development processes, data sources, and data models.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven proficiency in Power BI report and dataset development
- Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query
- Experience with data modelling tools and techniques
- Good understanding of data visualisation best practices
- Experience working within Agile teams
- A proactive, can-do attitude, thriving in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills
- A passion for using data to solve business problems and create new opportunities
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working within a large retail organisation
- Experience working with multiple data sources
- Knowledge of SQL and other database technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Word
