NPD Recipe Coordinator

About the Role


The Main Purpose of the role:

To ensure the required ingredients and recipes fulfil obligations for nutritional compliance are within the Nutritics system, e.g. regular checks and maintenance 

Maintain an accurate recipe database and coordinate across departments to ensure timely and accurate recipe updates for product launches
Main Duties 

 

What you'll be Doing:

  • Work with the NPD Recipe Team and Executive Chefs Team to cross check recipes for input into Nutritics, working cross-functionally with a wider team to ensure all technical aspects of the ingredient assessed to reduce risk for errors. 
  • Act as gatekeeper and ensure proper checks and accuracy are maintained, for any recipes changed or added to the UK/EI/NL recipe database (Lynx BM) and further published to Nutritics. 
  • Coordinate new recipe builds with the Data team, acting as the main point of contact for any queries and ensuring standardisation wherever possible and relevant. 
  • Manage projects to ensure the ongoing accuracy of recipes, e.g. standardising yields, apply cooking methods based on NPD Executive Chefs cooking guidelines, weights of cooked ingredients, improving the costings sheets templates. 
  • Liaise directly with local teams and the units to review and update the bespoke recipes relevant to them. 
  • Provide the NPD Executive Chefs with detailed information on existing recipes, in order to work with existing recipes and avoid duplication where possible. 
  • Advise on the most efficient set up in order to maintain a simple and workable database, e.g. standardising how to implement bulk recipes, alternative ingredients for a shared recipe, etc 
  • Create and maintain Approved Product Lists for all brands. 
  • Prompt and facilitate cross check meetings with relevant project team, to ensure recipes, specs and buying guides are accurate before being issued to the unit teams.
  • Contribute to cross functional meetings and liaise with other key departments (including Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing Operations team, Data team and others) in order to support the planning and implementation of NPD activities. Where necessary, contribute to meetings on behalf of the NPD team. 
  • Monitor, manage and carry out the ingredient listing process including delisting /re-listing as required. 
  • Support the NPD Executive Chefs and Commercial team with recipe information for upcoming projects. 
  • Check and link recipe specs with recipes on Lynx BM. 
  • Maintain live and up to date recipe specs on SharePoint. 

 


To be successful you will need:

  • Strong communication skills; able to manage meetings and co-ordinate different departments; and take accurate notes to ensure all actions are carried out 
  • Organised and accurate, with good attention to detail 
  • Good at problem solving and driving improvements 
  • Proactive in scheduling own work according to department and commercial priorities 
  • Knowledge of how recipes, costings and specs need to work in a commercial environment
