Mobilisation & New Openings Support Manager
About the Role
The Mobilisation & New Opening Manager will play a critical role in delivering greater focus and support of our mobilisation and new unit support. We are placing greater support on the successful landing of our mobilisation, refurbs and new store openings for all projects. This means responsibility right from the start of the mobilisation brining all key stake holders together to the successful opening of dedicated new or refurbished units normally with an objective to visit the store within the 4 weeks pre-opening and 4 weeks post-opening as greed at the project start.
The Mobilisation & New Unit Manager will be responsible for ensuring all the relevant departments are delivering their tasks that enables the mobilisation & new opening to have the best possible start and on course to deliver the business cases, including ensuring all operational and people process are set up in line with SSP operating guidelines.
What You'll be Doing:
- Mobilisation right from the start of the project when this is released from the PGS weekly call
- Lead the weekly mobilisation call to bring all key stakeholders together to give updated and raise risks to the project
- Leading the unit opening 4 weeks pre-opening and 4 weeks post-opening to ensure the unit is opened successfully.
- Influencing stakeholders and clients where required to ensure project delivery and on time
- Responsible for escalation and resolution for the 4Me platform for those new openings
- Work closely with the Mobilisation Team to ensure a smooth opening of the unit and with the F&B team when appropriate to establish the correct kitchen operating procedures and guidelines.
- Checking that all management & colleagues are recruited timely, with professional and correct onboarding and have been signed off with their relevant specialist training 100% prior to opening
- Ensuring the required feedback is delivered immediately to the appropriate function on how we may need to develop/adapt the operation to reach and deliver business case assumptions.
- Check that the project is delivered at handover to the required standard and ensure any snagging is escalated immediately and controlled until complete, to ensure operational excellence from the start
- The safety of our colleagues is a priority - so all mandatory training to be completed prior to the opening
- Ensure all operational processes and standards are set up and operating correctly and in line with brand standards.
- Conduct follow-up visits to address any post-opening issues / snagging and provide additional training if needed.

- Finance Team for budgeting and forecasting
- Operational Excellence team for implementation of brand standards
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Bright, energetic, and highly motivated individual with ambitions to progress within the business.
- A proven and successful operational background and ability to demonstrate a high-performing and results-delivery outcome, and experience of opening large, new units would be desirable
- High level of analytical ability to assess financial and operational data and make data-driven decisions.
- Meticulous attention to detail in managing the risks and opportunities within the unit new opening, including people, training, costs opportunity, monitoring initial financial performance, and escalating where required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, operational teams, and external partners (with brand partners, clients, contractors and suppliers).
- Excellent organisational and project delivery skills, meticulous and highly productive individual
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address financial challenges, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.
- Determination and drive to succeed, someone who can work well under pressure
