Group Safety Data Coordinator

About the Role

The Global Safety Data Coordinator is essential in providing support & efficiency via first line oversight of safety -related data, insights and incidents. Through ownership of core administrative tasks, streamlining reporting workflows and providing data collation and verification; they will support the Global Audit & Analytics Manager in the development and evolution of critical risk-based safety reporting to key stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate and validate safety accident & incident data across all operating markets on a monthly basis.
  • Log and track all incidents that fall into the ‘serious’ definition or that result in lost time.
  • Collect relevant cross-functional data within key safety metrics across people, food and business.
  • Collaborate with regional safety teams to reconcile data discrepancies and ensure timely reporting.
  • Facilitate follow-up sessions of any additional information or ongoing updates required.
  • Train regional teams on data entry standards and reporting protocols in line with global standards.
  • Maintain centralised safety databases to ensure data quality, security and consistency.
  • Assist the Global Safety Audit & Analytics Manager with data interpretation / analysis and support the verification of self-assessments.
  • Engage with our safety colleagues in market through various channels including Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage.
  • Actively support and promote global safety objectives through preparation of forums, campaigns & presentations.
  • Perform any other general administrative duties in accordance with the needs of the Global Safety function.

 

Essential criteria

  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes and platforms, particularly Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Efficient planning and process skills. Co-ordinating tasks and timelines in a proactive and structured manner within a fast-paced environment across different time zones.
  • Strong cognitive and diagnostic skills. Employing critical thinking, attention to detail and quality control to achieve high standards in data accuracy and any document presentations.
  • Well-rounded interpersonal and professional skills. Ensuring effective communication with a passion for safety, accountability of responsibilities and the reliability of their timely completion.

Desirable 

  • The use or knowledge of SharePoint lists, Power Automate, Power Apps & Power BI.
  • Understanding of safety processes and the inherent connection to people, food and business within a global food travel organisation.
  • Demonstrate confidence and expertise to critically evaluate and challenge submitted data, drawing on safety knowledge.
  • Knowledge of other languages.
