The primary responsibilities of this role are:
Supporting the Purchasing Manager, this role will take responsibility to deliver a purchasing plan. Working closely with suppliers, commercial teams and supply chain the individual will manage categories including millies cookies, coffee syrups, seasonal opportunities and milk.
The role will be to deliver the team objectives and the company strategy, across all SSP brands and franchised brands to ensure clarity and transparency in all costs through to invoice costs to the business, including all supporting documentation.
This includes working closely and integrated with the Supply chain team to assist in the management of data and information required to ensure activities launch seamlessly and supports the needs of the business
The role also needs to work cross functionally with marketing and NPD, Operations, Finance and SSP Commercial Teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of activities, and seamless transition of any new activities.
Activities will include negotiations, analysing performance, unlocking additional investment and reducing cost prices where possible.
What you'll be doing:
- Negotiate and manage cost prices for a few suppliers.
- Track and Analyse performance
- Work in conjunction with suppliers and distribiutorts
- Maintain and update supplier price files
- Supplier price administration and communication with accounts payable.
- Query investigation and resolution, both externally and internally (including management of 4me)
- Producing up to date Approved Product & Supplier Lists.
- Promotional & Seasonal Planning
- Maintenance of SSP bespoke stock holding requirements.
- Negotiate new terms with suppliers where directed to deliver the budget.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and buy better delivering value creation.
- Support the operational & commercials team to open new units.
- Work cross functionally with supply chain, commercial, finance and operations where appropriate.

- SAP experience
- Supplier quality assurance including food safety, due diligence, accreditation
