People Leader | HR Manager

 

Location: JFK Airport | On-Site

Compensation: $78,000 – $90,000 + bonus | Comprehensive Benefits Package
Schedule: Full-Time | Exempt

We’re looking for a People Leader | HR Manager to support our airport restaurant operations at JFK Airport. This role is ideal for someone who brings union experience, understands New York wage and hour requirements, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-centric environment.

You’ll be the go-to People partner on site — trusted by leaders, accessible to employees, and closely connected to day-to-day airport restaurant operations. You’ll have visibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape the employee experience in one of the most dynamic airport environments in the country.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a hands-on HR partner to field leadership and airport operations
  • Support employee relations, performance conversations, and leader coaching
  • Work within a unionized environment, partnering thoughtfully on labor-related matters
  • Guide compliance with New York wage & hour laws and employment practices
  • Collaborate with Regional and Corporate People teams on initiatives and programs
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and engagement efforts that strengthen the team

 

What You Bring

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a union environment required
  • Strong understanding of New York wage and hour laws
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Manager experience
  • A practical, people-first approach with sound judgment and discretion
  • Comfort supporting fast-moving operations (hospitality, retail, food service, or similar)
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site in a highly interactive environment

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • $78,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience
  • Eligible for Bonus
