Human Resource Admin - JFK Airport

Job Description

  • $23.00 / Hour

 

The Human Resource Assistant role is a hybrid position that supports on-site Airport Directors and the management team in human resources, operations and people-based initiatives. The Human Resource Assistant completes basic financial tasks such as invoice receipt, entry, and tracking and cash handling duties. This role enters daily deposits and is responsible for closing the books weekly.  Additionally, the Human Resource Assistant will ensure all employees have proper airport credentials and parking passes, as needed.

 

Essential Functions

 

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Gather withholding and payroll information for input of new hires in Micros and Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Complete the administration of unemployment claims by gathering and providing documentation to unemployment claims administrator
  • Maintain human resources records, including employee files, medical documentation (workers compensation and disability), and I-9 forms and uploading appropriate documents into HRIS
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operation by keeping human resource information confidential
  • Accountable for meeting SSP HR Standards and consistently achieve passing scores on HR audits

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information, organizing work, answering the telephone, relaying messages, and maintaining equipment and supplies
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure execution of other initiatives as directed by Manager or required by the Company
  • Act as the alternate authorized signatory for badging and assist in the submitting of badging applications
  • Perform other Accounting and/or HR related duties and administrative responsibilities as needed or as directed by supervisor

 

Required Education & Experience

  • Education & Experience Minimum of three (3) years of administrative and/or financial experience
  • Human Resource background preferred
  • Experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality industries preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
