SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants at the Montreal Trudeau Airport. At SSP Canada, our Line Cooks have the important role of receiving food orders, preparing delicious dishes for our guests, properly setting up the kitchen so every Expert has the product and tools easily accessible during their shift. Here are a few things you can expect as a Line Cook with SSP Canada:
- Prepares orders by following the recipes, uses proper portions, garnishes and present the dishes ordered.
- Maintains correct and adequate set up in the kitchen / work station during each shift. This includes proper storing of all fresh, dry, frozen goods; condiments and supplies.
- Handle, store and rotate the stored products properly.
- In charge of setting up, regular maintenance, cleaning and proper functioning of assigned equipment and machines.
- In charge of the supply of stocks, cutting, and storage of perishable goods every day in order to maintain the quality of the products.
- Complete the control sheets for opening, in progress and closing if requested.
- Put all the utensils used during the shift in its place, clean and tidy up its work place as well as the storage areas (includes refrigerators, freezers), empty, clean and store the bins.
- Be 100% responsible for the quality of product served.

Skills and Other Requirements
- Previous experience working in full service kitchen environment required
- High school diploma, preferred
- Verbal and written communication in English and French essential
- Basic mathematical skills
- Food handlers permit, as required by law
- MAPAQ certification an asset
- Brand Certification, as required
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time
- Ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance
