Communications Manager, Asia Pacific

Main Purpose of Job

The objective of this role is to work with the APAC Executive Team to create, implement and oversee communications programs for the Asia Pacific region.  You will be an expert in delivering consistent and strategic messages, both internally and externally, to promote SSP employer brand.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing SSP Asia Pacific communications channel and content strategies to increase SSP Asia Pacific‘s corporate and talent brand visibility. 

  • Protecting and enhancing the reputation of SSP Asia Pacific and our credentials as the ‘food travel experts’ via trade media, conference, industry awards, client facing events and via social media content.

  • Responsible for the overall management of internal and external communications channels – including drafting and updating content for the APAC section of the corporate website, career sites

  • Support talent branding initiatives on various social media channels, working closely with the People team

  • Support issues and crisis management processes for Asia Pacific, working with Group Comms team

  • Manage all aspects of monthly APAC Colleague Townhall meetings and Leadership Conferences, including budgeting, venue selection, and on sit evet management.

  • Oversee event setup, execution and teardown.  Evaluate event success and provide post event reports.

  • Speechwriting for Execs and writing CEO updates for various internal and external events

  • Support with APAC related content needed for Global Leadership Conference, meetings and annual reports

  • Other ad-hoc activities as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree qualified with at least 8 years of experience in communications with at least 2 years of regional experience

  • Experience in F&B, retail or service industry highly preferred

  • Proven track record in partnering with key leaders to create engaging communications plans and content on multiple channels

  • Strong organizational and project management skills – event management experience preferable

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and have a keen eye for detail and design

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances quickly

  • Excellent copywriting skills with excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Proactive, self-driven, resourceful, with excellent learning agility, and interpersonal & influencing skills

  • Good command of software such as full suite of MS Office along with social media
