Salary: $64,000 – $67,000 / year + bonus
Location: Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW)

About the Role:

Join White Sox Bar & Grill at MDW Airport, a high-energy, full-service restaurant delivering a true Chicago game-day experience to travelers.

 

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will partner with the General Manager to lead daily operations, drive team performance, and ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and high-quality service in a fast-paced airport environment.

 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume hospitality, enjoys leading teams on the floor, and takes ownership of both guest experience and operational execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily restaurant operations, including opening, peak service, and closing
  • Coach, develop, and schedule team members to deliver consistent guest satisfaction
  • Maintain strong food quality, presentation, and cleanliness standards
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls
  • Oversee cash handling and ensure accurate reporting
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
  • Support a positive team culture focused on accountability and performance

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience in full-service or high-volume dining
  • 1+ year of back-of-house or kitchen leadership preferred
  • Experience leading teams, managing labor, and controlling costs
  • Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP or ServSafe
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
