SSP America is seeking a detail-oriented and responsive Benefits Data Senior Specialist to join our HR Administration team. This role plays a key part in managing benefit plan billing, union dues administration, and ensuring compliance through meticulous data management. If you're highly organized, Excel-savvy, and passionate about supporting employees through benefits excellence, we want to hear from you.


What You’ll Do

  • Administer benefit programs including health insurance, retirement plans, disability, and wellness
  • Accurately process benefit and union billing across multiple systems and vendors
  • Respond to high volumes of inquiries from employees and union representatives
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using Excel and HRIS platforms
  • Reconcile billing discrepancies and ensure timely, compliant submissions
  • Support benefits audits, open enrollment, claims, and special projects
  • Coordinate benefit orientation sessions and vendor communications

 

What You Bring

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Minimum three years of experience in HR or benefits administration
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, IF formulas, and lookups
  • Strong understanding of benefits compliance, billing practices, and data reporting
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as SuccessFactors, ADP, or Workday
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • High responsiveness and ability to work with urgency and accuracy
  • Proven success working independently in fast-paced, data-heavy environments

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting union populations or Canadian benefit plans
  • Familiarity with benefits platforms such as BenefitFocus

 

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work model with flexibility based on business needs
  • Occasional travel (~20%) to support projects across the U.S. and Canada
